The works have been given to SRR Constructions; officials were asked to survey and fix boundaries within 10 days.

Phase I covers 3,245 acres at a cost of about ₹2,361 crore, within roughly 12,500 acres designated for the industrial city. The report notes that farmers who sold land were allowed to keep cultivating it during the long delay.

Why it matters for buyers

This is the first on-ground step in years. It also shows why buyers must check that land is not already acquired for the industrial city. See the Zaheerabad profile.
