CM seeks Centre’s approval for Metro Phase II and an airport–Future City link

The state has proposed seven Phase II corridors worth about ₹38,595 crore, and wants the airport–Future City line in Phase III.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy urged the Union government to fast-track approval of Hyderabad Metro Phase II, Swarajya reported on 7 May 2026. The proposal covers seven corridors over about 122.9 km at roughly ₹38,595 crore. He also sought inclusion of an airport–Bharat Future City corridor under a proposed third phase, for which a detailed project report has been submitted to the Centre.

As of this report, Phase II awaited central approval. No metro line to the Future City or the Srisailam Highway area is sanctioned or under construction.
