Srisailam Highway corridor
The NH 765 stretch south-east of Hyderabad from the Outer Ring Road toward Tukkuguda, Maheshwaram and beyond.
1Corridor overview
The Srisailam Highway corridor follows NH 765 south-east from the Outer Ring Road at Tukkuguda towards Kandukur, Amangal and Srisailam. It is the gateway to the planned Bharat Future City and has a growing electronics and industrial base.
2Hyderabad connection
The corridor meets the Outer Ring Road at Tukkuguda, a short drive from the airport. Maheshwaram and Raviryal lie alongside it; Kongara Kalan and Adibatla are to the east, towards the Nagarjuna Sagar road.
3Major & future infrastructure

6Bharat Future City (FCDA)
Bharat Future City is the state’s planned “fourth city”, governed by the Future City Development Authority (FCDA), created in March 2025. The notified area covers 56 revenue villages and about 765 sq km across seven mandals, mainly between the Srisailam Highway and the Nagarjuna Sagar road. 37 more villages have been proposed for inclusion.
FCDA is the sole authority for layout approvals inside its area. A comprehensive master plan was put out to global tender, with work running into 2026.
Contested land
The opposition has questioned whether land acquired earlier for the cancelled Hyderabad Pharma City can be used for Future City. Check acquisition history for any parcel in Yacharam, Kandukur, Kadthal or Ibrahimpatnam mandals.
7Location comparison
| Location | District | Profile | Approving authority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tukkuguda | Rangareddy | Full | Varies by parcel |
| Maheshwaram | Rangareddy | Full | Varies by parcel |
8Risks
- Dual jurisdiction: villages moved from HMDA or DTCP to FCDA; earlier approvals may need re-verification.
- Land with earlier acquisition claims (Pharma City era).
- Lake FTL and buffer zones around Raviryal and elsewhere.
- Announced projects with long histories of delay (Fab City).
