Is my village under HMDA? How to check after the 2025 expansion

HMDA’s area was extended up to the Regional Ring Road in March 2025, and some villages moved to the new FCDA. Here is how to check.

HMDA

Two government orders dated 12 March 2025 changed jurisdiction around Hyderabad. G.O. 68 extended HMDA up to the Regional Ring Road plus a buffer of up to two kilometres, about 1,355 revenue villages across 104 mandals in 11 districts. G.O. 69 created the Future City Development Authority (FCDA) for 56 villages in seven mandals south of the ORR, 36 of which moved out of HMDA.

  1. Note the exact village and mandalTake these from the sale deed or revenue records, not from the brochure.

  3. Check FCDA if south of the ORRIf the village is in Amangal, Ibrahimpatnam, Kadthal, Kandukur, Maheshwaram, Manchal or Yacharam mandal, check whether it is in the FCDA area.
  4. Note when the layout was approvedAn approval issued before a village changed authority may need re-verification with the current authority.
