What is a DTCP layout approval?
DTCP approves layouts in areas outside development authorities like HMDA and FCDA. Here is what the approval covers and how to check it.
The Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), Telangana, plans and approves layouts in areas that are not under a special development authority such as HMDA or FCDA. Many towns further from Hyderabad, such as Zaheerabad, generally fall in this category.
What the approval confirms
- The layout follows the planning rules in force when it was approved.
- Roads, open spaces and plot sizes were set out as per the approved plan.
What it does not confirm
- Clean title or ownership.
- Completion of development works.
- The developer’s reliability or a fair price.
