The total cost of buying a plot
The plot price is only part of what you pay. A checklist of other costs.
- Plot price and any development or amenity charges.
- Stamp duty, transfer duty and registration fee on the sale deed; in Telangana these have together been about 7.5%. Confirm the current rate on the Registration Department website.
- Legal fees for title verification.
- Loan costs if financing.
- Boundary and survey costs if needed.
- Holding costs such as property tax and fencing.
