Kongara Kalan is a village in Ibrahimpatnam mandal, Rangareddy district, south-east of Hyderabad between the Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar highways. Reports place it about 35 km from Hyderabad.
It became prominent in 2023 when Foxconn chose it for an electronics plant. It also hosts the Rangareddy district’s integrated collectorate complex, and the Adibatla aerospace cluster is nearby. We list it as an emerging area.

3Highway connectivity
Kongara Kalan is not on a national highway. It is reached through local roads linking the ORR, the Srisailam Highway and the Nagarjuna Sagar road, so approach-road quality matters more here.

5Industrial & economic development
Foxconn: the state industrial corporation allotted about 196 acres to Foxconn Interconnect Technology. Ground was broken in May 2023 for a $500 million facility, with officials projecting 25,000 direct jobs in the first phase. In May 2026, former IT minister K. T. Rama Rao said on X that the factory was running and employing thousands of people.

8HMDA, DTCP & regulatory considerations
In March 2025 the state also created the Future City Development Authority (FCDA, G.O. 69) for 56 revenue villages across Amangal, Ibrahimpatnam, Kadthal, Kandukur, Maheshwaram, Manchal and Yacharam mandals. 36 of those villages moved out of HMDA, so layout approvals there now sit with FCDA.
Ibrahimpatnam is one of the FCDA mandals, but not every village in the mandal is in the FCDA area. Check whether Kongara Kalan or the parcel’s village is under HMDA or FCDA today.

- Layout Permission number, date, and whether the approval is draft or final
- Your plot number on the approved plan, and that it is not mortgaged to the authority
- Land-use zone of the parcel under the applicable master plan
- RERA registration where applicable
- Conversion of agricultural land for non-agricultural use
9Risks & things buyers should verify
- Verify the approval claim with the issuing authority, not the brochure.
- Check for lakes, streams and their full tank level (FTL) or buffer zones nearby.
- Have a lawyer trace the title chain and check the encumbrance certificate.
- Confirm who owns and maintains the approach road.
- Measure real travel times yourself; advertised distances are often optimistic.
- Confirm the authority (HMDA or FCDA) for the exact village.
- Check that the parcel is not government or industrial-allotment land near the Foxconn park.
- Be cautious of job-number claims; the 25,000 figure was a projection, not a count.
